Photo: Diane Edwardson, May 25, 2013. Throughout the neighborhood, non-native, but scenic Jacaranda Trees are exploding in their signature muted purple blossoms. Around our house, we refer to them as "bee crack" since the bees are so hooked on the nectar, bees obsessively climb into the flowers, long since fallen off the tree for a taste of the gooey stuff.
