As if to illustrate the story City Councilmember-elect Mitch O'Farrell told about being "baptized in the LA River" on his kayaking journey this morning, a loud splash was followed by laughter & squeamish "eeeewwwws" by those watching the kayakers from the bike path. Yes, you will get wet if you go kayaking in the LA River.
