Riverside Terrace: Originally Paved In 1929

Photo: Diane Edwardson, May 20, 2013.  I often get questions about the contractor stamps (like this one on Riverside Terrace) in the streets, curbs & sidewalks.  (Click on photo to enlarge.)

Some of our Red Car Neighborhood streets are a crumbling patchwork of original concrete & newer asphalt.

Parts of Lake View were urgently repaired in late 2011, only after we went publicly after City Councilmember Garcetti's office for failing to respond to years of neighbors' complaints (since at least 2007) to finally patch a dangerous portion of roadway.  Yet, the worst segment of Lake View Ave remains a crumbling mess

City Councilmember-elect Mitch O'Farrell should be more responsive to the community.   (He's certainly walked enough of CD13 to know which streets are the most neglected.)
