Like any developer who wants the community to embrace its plans, Caltrans has been leaving gaping holes & damaged fencing along the 2 Freeway, allowing dumping to pile up and they've been killing off the trees through neglect since at least 2009 before the EIR was published for the 2 Freeway Terminus Redesign.
Allesandro Street between Oak Glen & Rosebud will be getting a sound wall 12-16' tall - about 0.4 miles long. CalTrans will be cutting down all the trees along that stretch of Allesandro, only planting ivy in place of the trees. For now Allesandro Way will not be getting a wall.
