Photo: Diane Edwardson, July 1, 2009. Throughout the multi-year process I pointed to the lack of real sidewalks, let alone ADA accessible sidewalks on both sides of the 2 Freeway. Currently, there is a narrow strip of uneven asphalt contained in a curb on both sides of the 2 Freeway. There are bus stops and affordable housing for the disabled on Allesandro, yet the plan still does not include ADA accessible sidewalks. It seems CalTrans is ignoring the lawsuit settlement that requires them to build ADA accessible sidewalks adjacent to their improvement projects.
