Allesandro Way & Oak Glen: Murder Victim Identified

Police identified the murder victim found Tuesday night on Allesandro Way near Oak Glen, as Julio Alvarado, age 28.  LAPD is looking for leads.  Read more: The Eastsider

The second dead body in 5 months was dumped in our neighborhood.  Senior Lead Officer Al Polehonki called this morning to give me a heads-up. LAPD is investigating. 

Neighbors on Allesandro Way said all the homeless who sleep in their cars cleared out pretty quickly.

2 Freeway Onramp: Body Found, ID'd

Thanks to a few neighbors for forwarding the story to me.  At least one of those neighbors happened to be driving by when LAPD and a news van pulled up.  The same neighbor reports a circus like atmosphere with helicopters, news vans and onlookers for most of the day.

9AM today: A young woman's partially clothed body was found by CalTrans workers in the bushes just below the onramp of the southbound 2 Freeway, across the street from Allesandro Elementary School.  She was identified as a mother who went missing from Lincoln Heights a month ago (KTLA5).
