Semi Tropic Spiritualists' Tract: Orange County Developers Unclear On Painting Out Graffiti

Photo: Diane Edwardson, October 25, 2012.  I finally got around to shooting a photo while waiting at the stop sign on Rosebud at Allesandro, to show just how lame the developers' painting out of graffiti on their green dust screening has been - from the beginning.  (Click on photo to enlarge.)

Rather than paint it out on in a block, they've been applying green paint as if it were precious material not to be wasted.  Neighbors have been mocking it from the first paint-out in early spring.  They literally just paint directly over the words matching the original tagging, you can still see the tag.

I guess they don't have a lot of experience painting out graffiti in Orange County.  (The developer, Planet Home Living, based in Orange County, is attempting to build other sites in Echo Park.)  Thanks for improving the neighborhood.

Emails from neighbors to CD13 (from the beginning) regarding the way the graffiti has been handled, have gone unanswered.
