Apparently, today is Squirrel Appreciation Day, a holiday made for social media. Personally, I don't appreciate the squirrels who steal the best heirloom tomatoes and fruit from my yard. But the hawks sure like the squirrels. And the squirrels help propagate the native Black Walnut and Coat Live Oak Trees that help hold the steep hillsides together when it rains.
