Photo: Corralitas Neighbor #1. February 14, 2014. Several neighbors reported seeing City trucks on the street drilling holes, like this one in the middle of the cul-de-sac atop Corralitas Drive, Friday.
The same neighbor reports the Gas Company, not imposters, asked to check for leaks around the gas lines & in the neighbor's yard, walking all the way down to the bottom of the lot with special measuring equipment.

The gas company checks for leaks then may come back & dig up the street. They often notice something is wrong when there is a big spike in gas used at an address.
In recent years, leaking gas mains in Corralitas Drive have caused severe erosion of the water adjacent water main. In 2011, the Gas Company replaced the original 1923 gas main.
