I grabbed my camera just in time to see the giant yellow "NEW HOMES" balloon floating up the 2 Freeway corridor toward Glendale. (Click on photos to enlarge.)
I hope it didn't come down in the middle of traffic somewhere, or on top of someone's roof. There's a reason we need controls over outdoor advertising.

When a neighbor called saying the balloon was entangled in the powerlines going onto the developer's property, I immediately reported it to the developer who in turn notified the contractor who puts up the balloon every weekend. It was taken down later that day.

It had to be at least a 25' diameter, helium balloon that's spent every weekend for the past 6 months or so, advertising the Semi Tropic Hell controversial Artis 15-home small lot subdivision in the Semi Tropic Spiritualists' Tract.
Some neighbors cheered as they watched the balloon float away.
