The Big Parade II, the marathon 2 day, 40 mile, 100+ public staircase hike is scheduled for June 12 & 13, 2010. It stretches from Downtown to the Hollywood Sign. You can join the Big Parade for a few staircases, hours or both days. It's free, fun and this year, there's a 1-mile children's loop on Saturday.
If you want to get fit for the 2-day marathon, or just want to try out some local staircase walks with a group, The Big Parade is hosting a series of training walks, including one this Sunday, April 18.
