2 & 5 Freeway Interchange: From Riverside Drive At Allesandro Elementary School 1961-2013

What is really amazing about all the construction photos of the 2 & 5 Freeways is the lack of fencing around the major construction site. 

Photo: Diane Edwardson, October 13, 2013.  Worth noting in the current photo: trees.  The telephone poles in both photos are the same height.  The trees to the right of the telephone poles adjacent to Allesandro Elementary School (on the right side of photo) were taller than the telephone poles.  This summer, the DWP chopped the tops off the trees in their semi-annual tree massacre trimming around transmission lines on Riverside Drive.
