2 Freeway: Red Tailed Hawk Does Not Want To Leave Nest

I'm not sure if it's one of this year's two chicks or if it's the slow learner from last year that still hangs around the family. 

Since July 4, the two hawks that left the nest earlier this summer, have been particularly needy, calling endlessly to be fed.  Neighbors noticed the young birds have been hanging around the Eucalyptus below the Corralitas log cabins quite a bit lately.  We haven't seen the adult birds much.  We hope they made it through the fireworks on the 4th.
