The Army Corps of Engineers is installing temporary flood barriers and removing vegetation from the riverbed from Griffith Park to the Fletcher Bridge.
Photo: Joan Stevenson, January 31, 2016. The high water mark for yesterday's rain was not so high, which is not so bad. The river path is always closed on rain days and it is closed between Griffith Park and Fletcher while the barriers are in place.

There will always be an asterisk next to the 2014-2015 rain year on Corralitas Drive, which ended with 15.17." We got an unprecedented 4" between July 1 and September 30.
