Corralitas Drive: Swallowtail Carnage

Photo: Diane Edwardson, July 30, 2014.  As if to mock me, one of the cats left a Tiger Swallowtail wing for me.  They know I've been trying to get a photo of several species of Swallowtail butterflies recently passing through the backyard.  I guess they're just too enticing to pass up. 

Be on the lookout for Giant Swallowtails.  I've seen 2 in the past week.  They're mostly black & yes, they are gigantic.  We also have Pale & Anise Swallowtails in the Red Car Property neighborhood.
