Photo: Diane Edwardson, September 16, 2013. The native & protected Coast Live Oak Tree on Lot C has acorns after a couple of barren years.
In the past few years this tree produced huge blooms of flowers in the spring, attracting so many bees, it vibrated. However, it produced so few acorns by comparison to normal rain years. I suspect the drought has affected the usually hearty Heritage Oak Tree.
