Corralitas Drive: Lizard Rescue
Photo: Diane Edwardson, May 1, 2013. We had to rescue a little male Great Basin Fence Lizard from one of the cats. (Click on photo to enlarge.)
During mating season the males get fancy. The metallic blue patch under his chin is really quite eye catching. He also had yellow undersides and metallic green scales on his back. See the much larger one I photographed in 2011, same time of year.
