While it's harder to see through the mature urban forest, compared to the 1960 photo, every lot (that's not owned by the Holyland Exhibition) on Lake View Ave has now been built on. Parking is still an issue. (Click on photo to enlarge.)Then there's that palm tree the City takes no responsibility for, blocking the sidewalk at the corner of Lake View & Allesandro Way at Corralitas Walk. Our good neighbors at the Holyland Exhibition do their best to keep the small palm trees from taking root there, but this one clearly got away decades ago.
We've been looking at photos from the archives of Lake View Ave at Allesandro Way this week to see how the neighborhood has changed through the years. This photo better matches the ones from 1934 & 1924.
