A Lake View neighbor reports parts of Lake View and Silver Ridge are still without power, cable or Internet (since Wednesday night). A DWP crew began working on the power lines this afternoon told the same neighbor they would have power back on tonight. He's keeping his fingers crossed.
The location of this fire was in the backyard of an upslope lot in the 2400 block of Lake View Ave. The house at the very top in the above photo is on Silver Ridge. It appears a huge eucalyptus tree went down with the high winds, taking the power lines down, sparking the fire. Time to thin out those big trees that are still standing.
