Recent record rain and radioactive run-off from the Japanese nuclear disaster combined to grow giant mutant worms on the Red Car Property. Let's hope the mutant worms don't find their way to the LA River, or they might spread throughout the City using the storm drain system like THEM! Keep your small animals inside, since coyotes won't be the only danger today.
Disclaimer: This post should not be used as proof of anything other than April Foolishness. However, the worm is real and was shot in action on the Red Car Property after a rainstorm February 20, 2011. Worms aerate the soil and their droppings fertilize plants.
