If you feed your pets outside, pick up the food bowls immediately after they eat, and clean the area regularly to minimize the food smells. You may be attracting coyotes to your yard too. Coyotes will also come to your yard for water bowls and backyard ponds.

It is against the law to feed wildlife. You may be creating a nuisance for neighbors and creating a dangerous situation where you, a neighbor or a pet can get bitten. Urban wildlife carries diseases like parvo, distemper (both canine and feline), rabies and mange that are transmissible to your dogs and cats.
