While stopped at the red light at Riverside and Glendale Blvd., I noticed a rather large hawk soaring over the Menlo Property and heading toward the river. I grabbed my camera and snapped a couple frames through the sunroof of my car before the light changed.
Reviewing photos on the Cornell Lab of Ornithology's website, it cold be a pale red tail hawk or one of many other similar raptors. We have a population of pale red tail hawks in the neighborhood.
