This one just took off from a telephone pole at Modjeska & Peru, on the upper portion of the controversial Semi Tropic Spiritualists' Tract 16-lot development (photo below). In about an hour, today, hanging around the Semi Tropic Spiritualists' Tract with representatives from CD13, LAPD and neighbors, I had many more Red Tailed Hawk sightings than I usually have from the Corralitas side of the 2 Freeway. Next door neighbors of the site, on El Moran, say they relax most afternoons, by sitting outside their front door, watching the hawks.
