Red Car Canyon: It Takes Effort To Dump A Big Screen TV Here

*Update at end of post
Photo: Diane Edwardson, May 27, 2015.  Yesterday morning I noticed a 60" big screen TV hiding in the Jade plants in Red Car Canyon.  (Click on photos to enlarge.)

It was not there the day before.  Someone drove into the canyon, unloaded it and shoved it into the bushes.

The City WILL NOT pick up the dumping from the Red Car Property as it is still private property.  We have forwarded the photos and location info to the property owner's rep.

We've also made it known time and time again that as long as vehicles have unrestricted access at both India and Corralitas dumping and joyriding will continue.  LAFD approved fire gates should be installed at both entrances.

If you see someone dumping, take a photo with your cell phone.  Get a license plate and description of the vehicle and call the LAPD non-emergency line: 1-877-ASK-LAPD.  If you get a photo of someone dumping on the Red Car Property send the photo to redcarproperty@gmail.com and we'll publish it here.

*Update 6-6-15: TV picked up.
