Corralitas Drive: Random Mushroom Is Not A Puffball

Photo: Diane Edwardson, February 22, 2015.  It looks like it's some type of Agaric (gilled) mushroom that failed to open.  You can see the dried up gills inside.  (Click on photo to enlarge.)

I was curious to see if the mushroom had changed since yesterday.  It looked like it either split open or someone or something pulled a piece of it open.  A Puffball Mushroom would have exploded with powdery spores.
