Corralitas Drive: 2 AM, LAPD Looking For Suspect* UPDATED

Photo: Corralitas Neighbor, August 15, 2012, 2:35 AM.  Police Helicopters and multiple police cars have been searching for a suspect on Corralitas Drive since about 2 AM this morning.

Around 2:40 AM log cabin neighbors were being told by loudspeaker to go back in their homes as the LAPD is searching for a suspect.  Two hours later helicopter is still lighting up homes and yards, no one is getting much sleep.

*UPDATES: 4:51 AM The police helicopter finally took off.

A Silver Ridge Neighbor with a bird's eye view of the Red Car Property emailed:

"There was a very heavy police presence in the Red Car Property canyon and the surrounding neighborhoods early this morning (2-4 a.m.).  There were many police cars parked on Rosebud and 2 helicopters flying around the neighborhood which they eventually pulled back and used only one helicopter.  I called the air squad division and was told they were looking for someone who had stolen a car and came into the neighborhood with a gun.   She could not tell me whether this person was caught only that I would have to call the Northeast division to find out."

Neighbors on Riverside Place and Lake View lost sleep too.
